Situated in the heart of the small and picturesque medieval border town of Knighton, this pretty half-timbered cottage is Grade II listed, built in 1678 or earlier and retains many original features, with oak beams throughout. The living room features a wood burner in an inglenook fireplace and there is a fully fitted kitchen. Upstairs, the spacious double bedroom has an oak beamed ceiling and walls, whilst the twin bedroom enjpys views across the wooded Shriopshire Hills. This holiday cottage is one of a row of houses, backing onto The Narrows, and there is a sunny sitting out area, adjacent to the private paved parking place at the front. It is within easy walking distance of several pubs, restaurants, a golf course, the Offa’s Dyke Visitor Centre and Footpath. Historic Ludlow, Hay with its antiquarian bookshops, and Presteigne, all of which host cultural festivals during the summer months, are just a short drive away. Shops 50 yards and pub 83 yards.

Summary: The cottage was quirky with some beautiful features. The floor is uneven in the bedroom and bathroom but this added to the charm and age of the building. The location is great for walking lots of different trails, and you are close to all the amenities.

Summary: Re-visit to Molly's Cottage after approx. 10years. Although close to town centre amenities (an advantage!), the Cottage is quiet and peaceful at all times. High standards of cleanliness & comfort maintained along with enhanced CV19 cleaning regime. Follow the location directions carefully! Summary: Mollys Cottage is very quaint, with its timber framed exterior and all the rooms had beams and some if the floors were uneven due to the age of the property. The cottage Was reasonably well equipped and had the luxury of a private parking space and a cellar to store of the recycling and general rubbish. The cottage itself was clean and tidy. Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Molly's Cottage which is well equipped and found it a good base to explore further afield.Knighton is very quiet and not many shops opened all week.The cottage is quirky and some floors are challenging due to the age of the property so not ideal for anyone with walking problems and the parking gets easier with practice.Something a little different from the usual holiday cottage.

Summary: Ideal cottage for family exploring the mid wales countryside. Walk from cottage to great local chip shop, pubs and late opening convenience stores. Car parking a little challenging if you have a car with small turning circle but you soon get the hang of it.
