Spend a day exploring Lincoln, which is home to one of the best mediaeval gothic cathedrals in all of Europe, the stunning 11th-century castle with tower providing a bird's eye view of the city, or shop until you drop, taking advantage of the charming quirky independent and high street shops, as well as stopping for a break in one of the city's many restaurants that can satisfy any appetite.
