Several good hiking opportunities nearby with Grytenuten as the most spectacular mountain hike with views of Folgefonna, Melderskinn and all the way to Stavanger, 360 degree binoculars at the top. The supermarket in VatlandsvΓ₯gen guest harbour is within walking distance. 30 minutes drive to Sand with shops, restaurants and golf course. Or drive to the small town of Sauda, 45 min. There are outdoor swimming pools all year round and alpine and cross-country skiing in winter. Day trips to Stavanger, Preikestolen, Haugesund and Hardanger via national tourist routes to RΓΈldal.
Note: Steep gravel road up to the house, which means that you must have four-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive on the car to be able to drive up to the house.
