LE MONET sleeps up to 6 people. Relax in the peace and tranquillity of the stunning french countryside in these delightful self-catering holiday cottages. These cottages are set in 1.5 acres of pretty gardens within easy driving distance from the ports of Caen and St Malo.
There is a swimming pool, which is heated by solar energy, with plenty of sun-loungers and each cottage has its own private garden equipped with garden furniture. There are also BBQs. Within the grounds is a secure one acre field which is perfect as an area for family games or picnics. This is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday. Each cottage has an open living area on the ground floor with electric heating and excellent facilities, a fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, DVD & CD player, Wi-Fi Hotspot, English Sky TV and French terrestrial TV. A travel cot, baby feeding chair and baby bath are also available. Bed linen and towels are provided.
Bagnoles de L'Orne: This is a glamorous little spa town with fabulous thermal baths and beauty treatments galore. The town has a lakeside casino and is brim full of cafes and wonderful restaurants. For the sportsperson there are tennis courts, boats, pedalos, mini-golf and horse riding. Or, if that is a little too energetic, take a relaxing walk around the lake or through the surrounding forest and drink in the atmosphere. You will fall in love with this town.
Domfront: Visit this glorious medieval town and be transported back in time. Wander through the narrow, winding, cobbled streets flanked by curiously quaint medieval houses and restaurants. Wind your way up the hill and you will discover the most spectacular views over the entire valley. A photo-opportunity not to be missed.
Sille le Guillaume: The kids will love this. A beautiful lake set in the midst of spectacular woodland. A beach, adventure playground and plenty of eateries and cafes. Need we say more..

Summary: Excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful. Beautiful setting with gardens front and back to take advantage of the weather and the BBQ. Swimming pool an absolute bonus. Lovely quiet location. Car essential. Would book again next time we’re in the area.

Summary: we arrived at the gites to be given a very warm welcome by Trevor and Julia. The gite had everything we needed to make our stay pleasurable. The property was well maintained and the garden was immaculate. There were plenty of sun loungers for hanging around the pool, the pool being immaculate and ideal for all the family. We could not have had a more enjoyable stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Trevor and Julia, they looked after us as if were part of the family, even Charlie the dog. We highly recommend La Provotiere and we definitely will be returning.

Summary: We have just returned from a fantastic 12 days at this place. Julia and Trevor were perfect hosts and were very happy to help us out when needed. We traveled with 3 children under 9 and the whole time we were there we knew the children were safe around the property. They loved going to the large field at the side of the cottage to look for grasshoppers. We enjoyed many days out at the local hotspots such as bagnoles de Lorne, Lassey and the man made beach at sille. You can access all amenities within a 15 minute drive or you can stay by the pool and cottage for the day which has plenty of sun loungers. We made full use of the BBQ most evenings and sampled plenty of wines from the local supermarkets :-) We were lucky enough to be staying while there was a local carboot and car show at javron which was fantastic, great atmosphere. If you want a peaceful family Holiday then this is the place for you....it's away from everything apart from the odd tractor that may pass by but also just a short drive from many lovely places. We could not fault this holiday and hope to return soon. Thanks again Trevor and Julia for making our stay so great. Erica and luke

Summary: The location of the Gites is great, we travelled to Paris, Mont St Michael, Bayeux and Le Mans as well as local sites. The Gites were clean and comfortable and Trevor and Julie were hugely helpful. Our kids loved the swimming pool and rarely left it - it made the holiday extra special. Trevor also ensured that it was regularly cleaned. As well as lots of birds of prey, the Gites are great for spotting deer and star gazing in the evening. Overall.a great location, lovely people and only regret is leaving the sunshine and returning home to rain!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay here and would go again. Very clean and tidy, Trevor was very welcoming and gave lots of advice without imposing on our holiday. The gite is situated in a very nice part of France, with very friendly people and places to visit. The web site description was accurate and yes we would definitely recommend this gite to friends.

Summary: Dear Trevor and Julia, We had such a wonderfull time again! The garden was even more beautiful than three years ago. The children loved the swimmingpool, the garden, the chickens and of course your enthusiasm and kindness! It was great that we had time to chat and to have a drink. ;-) We even discovered more nice, interesting and beautiful spots to visit! So it was a whole different vacation than three years ago, but with the same hospitality. It's a great place to discover and maybe an even better place to return to. As well for adults and children. Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our week with Trevor and Julia. Nothing was too much trouble. They listened to our expectations of our break with our two ten year olds and offered lots of ideas of where to go, what to see and suggestions for places to eat. The arrangement encourages other guests to share the facilities, play and relax together, once the children have retired for the evening. The regular egg collection( or egg expectation runs) from the chickens, kept the children running back and forth, and there was a lot of excitement when there was an egg! The pool was warm and clean, the children made full use of the facility and having the ability to dry the costumes and towels on the line, meant we were ready to indulge at every opportunity. The gite was well equipped, it was nice to find a hair dryer had been supplied. We had a very good holiday, our hosts were genuinely nice people who appreciate, that this is your break and do their best to make sure you get the most from your time with them. Thank you Linda, Dave, Jack & Gracie.

Summary: We have just returned from our 3rd holiday here - and are looking forward to our return visit! It is just a perfect 'get away from it all' holiday destination for our family of 2 adults and 3 children aged between 3-9 years - the houses, the wonderful hosts Trevor & Julia, the location and the surrounding area & places to visit - we could not recommend it highly enough as the ideal relaxing family break.

Summary: We have been holidaying in France now for several years, and we decided to travel less this year and chose La Provotiere for three families that holiday together. Its about a 90 minute drive from the ferry at Caen, which is very convenient, and I have to say we had the most fantastic time. Its quite rural, which we like, so very quiet and ideal for cycling and walking. The nearest town is Madre, however there isn't much happening there, but about 8km is a lovely town called Lasse la Chateau which is lovely, has lots of bars, restaurants and a mini mart. There is also an Intermarche supermarket there. Trevor and Julia made us feel very welcome and looked after us really well, and all of the children had an amazing time in the pool or playing cricket in the big back garden. I would highly recommend staying here.

Summary: The accommodation was excellent, beautifully clean and spacious. Trevor and Julia were very helpful, giving us lists of places and information about where to visit. The garden is great, close for the pool and a large field to run around in or play badminton or football. Our children 10 and 11 years were happy playing, visiting the chickens or in the pool. Everything is beautifully kept and very peaceful. We loved Bagnoles d'Orne and enjoyed the firework display and high ropes in the woods. I would thoroughly recommend La Provotiere to anyone, however high their standards are it is fabulous.
