Positive: The apartment was self-sufficient, quiet and private. It was very spacious for the two of us. I like the fact that there were separate heaters (split units). That enabled us to have full control. There was even a washer and dryer inside the unit exclusively for our use. The host was general very responsive.

Negative: It would have been nicer if the towels had been replaced with fresh ones. They were clean but they may have been kept in the cabinet for a while. Perhaps the sheets need to be replaced. Although they were clean, they were showing signs of wear and tear.

Summary: Pleasant.

Positive: The apartment was ideally located for me - close to UBC and Kitsalano. It was very spacious and well appointed - with everything I needed. I had a problem with the fridge but this was sorted immediately.

Negative: Nothing - it was a great place to stay

Positive: Spacious accommodation, quiet & good location

Negative: The apartment wasn’t well cleaned & smelled of urine. The garbage in the bathroom had not been emptied after the last guest. There was hair and dirt on the floor, bath tub & toilet. The towels were stained & we didn’t feel comfortable showering in the bathroom due to the lack of cleanliness. The right refrigerator door did not close properly. The bed was made with only a bottom sheet and not a top sheet, just a comforter & after the experience in the bathroom dirtiness, we were concerned the duvet had not been laundered between guests. Opening the laundry room door we were hit with the severe scent of urine (pet?) that made us gag. We kept our socks on the whole time to avoid coming in contact with the floors & rugs.
