Summary: A great find. Very modern , clean and warm and a fantastic location for exploring York. The hot water is fantastic. The apartment has everything you need. There is a Morrisons around the corner and an abundance of other shops close by, plus a selection of local pubs. There is a bus stop, just around the corner where the number 1 bus takes under 15 minutes direct to the centre of York. We bought a first bus weekly ticket which saves you money if like us you were travelling in every day. We never needed the car all week, we even used the bus to do a lovely walk at Popperton. Get the number 10 from the other end of the lane and a trip to the designer outlet on the 7.

Summary: We had a great stay at Carr Lodge. The owners were friendly and helpful. The accommodation was modern and clean and perfect for a getaway in Yorkshire, especially if you are visiting the city of York. We normally go for out-of-the-way places, but we didn't have any problems being in the city. And there are takeaways and supermarkets within a hundred yards, which was ideal. Summary: A very comfortable, clean, top-modern and well-equipped apartment, just a bit outside the York city centre but with a direct bus connection. Booked „last minute“ with the very friendly owner. Had a perfect stay visiting most of the city‘s attractions — would love to come back anytime.

Summary: Carr lodge is an excellent property which is set in a small town with everything you need and only a short journey into the city. The house is very comfortable and is ideal for couples. It was well equipped and very clean and spacious.

Summary: We chose Carr Lodge for a short break in York. The property proved to be perfect for our stay providing modern well equipped accommodation. The owners had thought of everything that you would need during your stay. The accommodation was well placed close to shops and a direct frequent bus service into york should you not wish to drive into the city. The accommodation came with a parking place which was a bonus. We enjoyed the break and the space and layout within Carr Lodge including bedroom lounge fully fitted kitchen shower room and private patio accessed from the lounge via a set of bi fold doors provided accommodation far superior to that available in a hotel. Would recommend this property highly
