In a quiet location down a private drive, this second floor holiday apartment, renovated in 2020, is part of a converted mill set within Malhamdale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and with the other properties enjoys 8 acres of private grounds in an idyllic setting. This apartment boasts fantastic views over the River Aire which feeds the trout lake and millstream, adding charm and life to the grounds. Malham Cove, with its limestone amphitheatre and the gorge of Gordale Scar, are within easy walking distance, as is Malham Tarn, one of the largest natural areas of water in Yorkshire. Also, Settle is close by, where you can take a trip on the Settle to Carlisle Railway. The town of Skipton is also a favourite, also known as ’the gateway to the Dales’, with its Norman castle and popular market. Shop 3 miles, pub 1 mile.

Summary: This one bedroom apartment is in a great location for exploring Malham and the surrounding areas. It is well proportioned and generally clean, although the windows need a good exterior wash. The neighbours were really friendly and helpful and the apartment is well equipped. Our major issue was with the wifi which was so intermittent as to be non existent. This also meant the advertised smart tv channels didn’t work either.

Summary: A beautiful spot with several walks straight from the front door. Apartment was cosy and comfortable and was very well equipped. We would definitely recommend and return.

Summary: A lovely property in a great place although a little difficult to find in the dark. A sign at the end of the drive would be helpful. We enjoyed walking in the area and the nearby pub was nice for an early evening drink. The accommodation is well equipped

Summary: We have recently had a delightful stay at Dipper for 6 nights with our dog. It is a beautiful apartment with a lot of thoughtful touches. Everything about the apartment was very tasteful and it was spotlessly clean. It was very well equipped and super comfortable. The idyllic location is wonderful 15 mins walk in to Malham and only 5 mins walk into Kirby Malham. There are a lot of beautiful walks on your doorstep too. Summary: We had a great stay at Dipper! The area was perfect for us and our two dogs as it was all countryside and therefore plenty of space to walk. Malham was around 15 minutes walk across the fields and has always been a favourite place for us. As this was our first time away from home this year I was apprehensive about staying somewhere that I had no control over cleanliness and went prepared to clean everything in sight on arrival! However, I was so impressed with the state of the apartment and it’s cleanliness levels I didn’t even take my cleaning materials out of my bag. Everywhere was really clean and the bathroom was gleaming!! My gratitude to the owners, caretaker and cleaning team for their efforts, it made our holiday more relaxing than anticipated in these difficult times. I would have no hesitation in staying here again. Also our thanks to the resident in the Engine Room who was so friendly and helpful during our stay.
