Summary: ideal location with many dog walks straight from the doorstep. No hot water, but this was immediately following lockdown#2 so the owner may not have been able to fix it since October when it first got mentioned. Some lovely personal touches, a Christmas tree and mince pies. The cottage is equipped really well with every kitchen gadget you could want and I liked the way that not just tea, coffee and milk, but also things like oil and salt were on hand. The log burner works really well and because the place is so tiny it heats everywhere up pretty quickly. The owner made himself very contactable which would have been good if we had problems, which we didn't. The key safe system makes it easy to turn up and get in without having to commit to a time. Great value for money. Thank you Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: Lovely cottage in Holford, bigger than looks, friendly Plough pub at end of road, try the still cider and good Sunday lunch and amazing sticky toffee pudding at the Hood arms in Bridgewater and great walks up the Quantocks outside the door. A drive to a sandy beach. Cream teas served at Combe hotel at end of road other direction. Would go again and stay at Sweat Briars on a non Alexander gale week  Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: Had a lovely week in this cosy cottage, location is amazing if you like walking and have dogs, lots of dog friendly beaches close by. Lovely dog friendly pub at the end of the lane which serves nice food. Cottage could do with a lick of paint but apart from that it was fab. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: Lovely cottage in a perfect location. Walks nearby, Kilve beach and coast path less than 10 minutes away, sea view from the bedroom window.

Summary: The location of the cottage is ideal for nice walks and for a base to explore. After a five hour journey how lovely to find fresh flowers a bottle of wine and biscuits for the little furry ones. The cottage itself is fully equipt with use of washing machine very handy. Dish washer is a bonus too but there was only one tablet left but appreciate that this was an extra so no problem. Upstairs is clean and fresh and the bathroom roomy. Downstairs however could do with a bit of a makeover. Bits of off cut carpets to stand furniture on and the chair had rips on the arms doesn't do the room justice. The kitchen had everything in it that was required although it took a while to work out how the hob/oven works. Not being familiar with it and the dial numbers had all rubbed off with use but we got there through trial and error. A little note/instructions would have been useful though. The gravelled area to the back is very small and there is no seating so off we went to B&M to buy deck chairs so at least we could sit in the sunshine (just managed to get a bit under the kitchen window.) We gave it all a good vacuum before we left but the filter must need cleaning as boy did it pong! Overall a quiet stay in a quaint cottage with an interesting history.
