Positive: I had an amazing stay at Foggy Valley. Everything about it felt like 5 stars. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and had stunning views of the mountains. The free breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

Negative: location is slightly far from Wulingyuan, around 10min taxi. not much around the hotel, i.e food options, shops, massage, however the staff were helpful in organising transport to and from the hotel.

Summary: Enjoyable stay with incredible mountain views and great staff service

Positive: It was very close to the Zhangjiajie national park main entrance. The hotel itself had a very calm vibe, the staff was very kind and helpful. They helped us book all pf pur trips and provided free shuttle services for most attractions. We even got a tea ceremony at the hotel. The restaurant onsite was also lovely and offered a lot of vegetarian options.

Positive: Very cute boutique that was themed to the China image rather a modern simple hotel. I love that the staff is helpful in whatever you need. They pick you up and take you to the airport and arrange for transportation services. They assist in purchasing tickets for the mountain sightseeing as well.

Negative: I wish there was on site spa and sauna services but this hotel has a relationship with other hotels that provide those services. It’s still easy to resist for.

Summary: Loved it! Would stay again if I returned.

Positive: Great stay, the room was incredibly beautiful. In the middle of the mountains and at a close enough distance to all places of interest. The stag was helpful and always available for any need. They helped me organize my tours and handled all the bookings, they also had me picked up and delivered to the train station. The restaurant is also delicious and they prepared cake for Christmas Eve which was a kin touch given I was a solo traveler far from home on Christmas. Definitely recommended and I would for sure return in the future.

Positive: Beautiful property, delicious food (Chinese breakfast and dinner), comforting regional tea (perfect for autumn weather, came unlimited), unmatched service. There’s a bonus in the form of company from Won Won, an adorable pup always willing to cheer up a room and warm my feet.

Negative: The property is a bit out of the way, (that’s why the views are magnificent) but I’m glad the hotel took care of our transportation because we could not find it on google map properly.

Summary: Worth the extra night stay to enjoy the hotel

Positive: Service was very personalised and efficient, with chauffeuring services, gifting us local food after we expressed how much we liked a dish and fulfilling our requests speedily. Special mention to extremely helpful and friendly staff: Mr Hu, Mr Shen, Tingting, Maomao, Mr Li. Very adorable cats and dogs which are all very friendly!

Positive: The staff were very attentive to our needs and helped my wife as she has difficulty with the steps due to too much walking. Great mountain view from bedroom! Too cold to sit at balcony to enjoy the majestic view. Very comfortable bed. Provided transport service to where we wanted to go from arrival to departure. Will want to stay here again but will choose a warmer season to enjoy their surrounding and BBQ.

Negative: The temperature had a sudden big drop when we arrived. The heating system in the room which we booked that had a bathtub was not strong enough to heat up the room despite the additional 2 heating machine. They upgraded our room but it didn't have the bathtub which was disappointing. Despite the big room size, there was no cupboard so we had to manage out of our luggage.
