Positive: The house is a quintessential Japanese style house with all modern amenities. The master bedroom had a very comfortable western king bed and the other bedroom a series of very comfortable futons. All with very warm and fluffycomforters. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and we were provided with coffee and tea. The house is in walking distance to shops and restaurants and there is a bus that runs to the station very close. Just all in all a wonderfully comfortable experience. Not to forget to mention that Takeshi-san gracefully picked us up from the train stations!!

Over the following days, we explored the historic Maizuru Castle Park, the revered Takeda Shrine, and the serene Enkō-in temple—all by bike, adding a sense of adventure to the journey. Don’t miss a trip to Shosenkyo Gorge. Above all, the sight of Mount Fuji crowned the experience, making Kofu a wonderful destination in the heart of Japan.

Positive: Takashi-san put so much beautiful details in his traditional Japanese house. It’s truly a special house and made our stay a memorable one. Great location, close to 7-11 and the delicious Sukiya restaurant for affordable healthy Japanese meals. Great base to travel to neighboring spots like Fujikawaguchiko, Minobu town and Kakurinbo temple.
