Positive: Masuda-san was super kind and helpful, and made sure to check in with each guest every morning on their plans so that he could help with reservations for their next destination or route guidance. Towels, pajama pants, soap & shampoo are provided, and bicycles are available for loan so you can easily cycle to the train station, supermarket and onsen nearby. I returned from a bike ride on a particular hot day and he immediately got me a glass of cold water and an ice popsicle. Oyado 11 is a gem!!

Negative: I was assigned a bunk bed in a separate section of the inn where the air-conditioning did not reach (Beds I & J) . While there was a standing fan, it could not rotate up-and-down (only left-and-right), so my bunk mate and I could not really share it. I ended up hand-fanning myself to sleep.

Summary: Cozy and quaint little pilgrim hostel with everything you need.

Positive: Everything was perfect, very clean and very friendly host. But a fair warning for those who are doing the Shikoku-Pilgrimage for the first time: The lights might go on at 4:30 (no joke) and the pilgrims could be very loud to motivate themselves for the day. Keep that in mind :)

Positive: The host was very helpful and accommodating to us. He had bikes that we could use to get into town which was a great time. The bunks were sturdy and we didn’t hear the person above us.
