Positive: We had a wonderful stay at Mika’s and Paul’s beautifully refurbished ancient Japanese house. Mika was so kind and did restaurant bookings for us and gave us recommendations of hiking trips and onsens. It feels like being in a house with friends of friends since you stay together in one space and use the same kitchen and bathroom. In the evenings we had a Sake and asked them everything we wanted to know about Japan. Very interesting! Thank you so much, what a special and great stay! 😁

Negative: If you’re looking for privacy, it’s probably not your kind of thing. 🤷🏼‍♀️😃

Positive: It’s an old house but newly renovated, so everything is old fashioned crafted but brad new for using. I do like this style living pretty much and that’s what I’m looking for the Japanese country life.

Positive: The interior of the house was so nice. Atmosphere was good and it was the best place to retreat, away from all daily noisy stuff. I was greatly refreshed after staying here. Mika and Paul were good and comfortable owners to stay with. Their hospitality was excellent. Thank you for everything you offered!!!

Positive: Great location and wonderful hosts. It's a beautiful and unique renovated farmhouse in the mountains outside of Tokyo.

Negative: I would recommend renting a car as the home is not close to the train station and taxis are hard to get.

Positive: A beautiful house in a beautiful location, perfect for an escape from the city. The hosts are lovely and very accommodating, we stayed with our one year old who loved exploring the house.

Negative: Would have been nice to have a few more utensils and tea towels in the kitchen!
