Positive: The property was absolutely stunning , the rooms were big although the bathroom had a glass door in the toilet and main door, very weird. Other than that the hotel was beautiful , very old and historic feeling. We were there for a Wedding which was absolutely perfect.
Negative: Glass doors in bathroom - and location was way to remote. Staff were very nice and friendly but service throughout the resort was very slow - to the point at the breakfast I ordered a coffee 4 times and ended up getting it myself (only reason I didn't do that was waiting on cups). Also there was no music or atmosphere especially round to pool. Most guests in our group left as it was a bit boring.
Summary: Stunning hotel in a too remote location unless a wedding

Positive: Good breakfast, interesting design of the gardens, unique property and very quiet.
Negative: The hotel needed maintenance, sunbeds are old and mouldy, walls on exterior of hotel had chips or missing paint, plants on room balconies were dead or not maintained. Evening restaurants food was very average.
Summary: Unique hotel but needs TLC

Positive: The room was specious and comfortable. The pool was a good size for swimming and relaxing. Easy access from the airport.
Negative: There isn’t enough staff for the place as we ended up not having a breakfast served once. Also the waiter forgot to seat us for the dinner one evening. The cleanliness of the place needs to be higher for the five star hotel - ironing board and iron were dirty and sunbeds by the pool need to be replaced as old and dirty. The place can be magical if the garden is maintained better and the hotel has more professional staff.
Summary: Relaxing pool holiday and good in places.
