Positive: Zara Village exceeded our expectations! The staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant was amazing. The location is perfect if you want to access Lokobe, they even organised our guide. Our favourite was having cocktails by the infinity pool. This was definitely a highlight of our trip.

Positive: We loved that black lemurs came to a tree at the back of the property in the evening and that we could hear them and birds at night and in the morning. The pool was great and the location was perfect - a walk from the Lokobe Nature park. We went to the park with a guide from the hotel who was a sweet young man.

Negative: They charged for the boat transfer to and from the hotel. That wasn't clear from the description. The meals were very good but expensive for Madagascar. Not much English is spoken. The manager had to endure my horrible French. :) Overall, a great experience but it added up to more (with the tour etc) than we anticipated.

Summary: We loved it and would recommend it for two nights.
