Positive: The staff were lovely and welcoming. Room is very spacious and clean. Hotel is in a very quiet area, near the river and close to restaurants and good supermarkets. Traditional style Japanese stay with open air bath/shower and beautiful tatami mats. Simple toast and tea/coffee breakfast was fine.

Negative: Nothing - all very good.

Summary: Lovely staff. Traditional Japanese style hotel.

Positive: The hotel is located next to the Oyodo river which is great for running og walking along. We were welcomed by the friendly staff which made us very welcome. They had a number of written information sheets in English about the hotel and facilities which was great as our Japanese is limited and so was their English. The room was with tatami flooring and futon mattresses. The bathroom was a totally covered outdoor space which although in winter was great. It was chilly to start with but quickly warmed up when you either started the shower or began to fill the bath. The last being a wonderful wooden bath. There was free parking right by the hotel. Although the room was with no meal plan they provided toast and butter/jam for breakfast free of charge together with the complimentary coffee/tea. I would definitely stay at Yurakuan Miyazaki if I came back to town.

Positive: Exceptionally clean, best customer service, nice little breakfast, hot tub was great and bespoke. Stayed out in the rain to bow and send us off. Such great service.
