Positive: Everything was top notch and Yu even went to the effort of getting a xmas tree which we really loved. Apartment was spotless with great shower.

Negative: The walk up to the apartment was testing with luggage.

Positive: Villa was cozy, comfortable and tastefully designed. Washing machine with dryer very useful for the typical Jiufen wet weather. Convenient 5-10 min walk to old street although still located on a quaint, quiet street above the hustle and bustle of the commercial area.

Negative: Bathroom was small and tight although it meets its purpose.

Positive: Beautiful and clean Minsu in Jiufen. Extremely spacious for big family or with a group of friends. Delicious breakfast - always on time and still warm when delivered Walking distance to the main Jiufen old street. Great attention to details - they have all the things you need in a typical home :)

Negative: Typically to some areas in Taiwan, tissues are not allowed to be flush down the toilet bowl but to be thrown into the bin. Hence, there is always a slight stench in the air - but we are not sure if it is due to the above reason or because of the sewage system in the area. Nonetheless it is not really a deal breaker, we appreciate the overall cleanliness of the minsu and services provided. Hence maybe that is why there are so many dehumidifiers and air purifier in the house :P.

Summary: Beautiful and clean Minsu in Jiufen. Great breakfast. Not far a walk to the main old street.

Positive: Everything was absolutely amazing!! This property far exceeded my expectations and looks even better in person than the photos. The house was beautifully designed, curated and the excellent appliances proved quite useful for our 2 night stay. I can't wait to return to Jiufen just to stay here!

Positive: Location was excellent, only a minutes from the old town street once we figured out to just go on the big road and not the stairs. We had 6 people plus luggage so we had to take a 10 passenger taxi and it was hard for them to drop us off and pick us up next to the Airbnb. We spoke no Chinese so it was a little hard communicating with the tripool guys. So confirm with the taxi guy on where he can pick you up. The place is very cute. It fit all 6 of us very good. I especially liked the washer/dryer. Host was very helpful. We lost our water bottle and she was so kind to try to send it to us. We tried to walk from the airbnb to Teapot Mountain hike. It was a super long walk, next time we will uber to the Teapot Mountain. Loved this town, the gift shops were so cute and the desserts are excellent. Definitely a must visit and stay!

Negative: Would like the breakfast time to be more flexible. We had to leave at 8am to head over to the airport, and their breakfast time is set at 9am. I asked and was told there isn’t a way to change the breakfast time to earlier. And we couldn’t really get any breakfast in jiufen that early in the morning because nothing was open.
