Positive: What a dream this was! The location is so picturesque and the home so comfortably appointed. We loved Lofoten Islands and part of it was this lovely accommodation. Perfectly positioned equidistant to two grocery stores, half way between the ferry and Svolvaer, tucked away, near a spectacular mountain hike, walking distance to a restaurant, a sauna, and a bunch of art galleries - it was a joy!

Negative: There was road construction near by, so on approach it seemed a bit hectic, but once you got to the accommodation, it was quiet, peaceful and lovely.

Summary: A magical stay in magical Lofoten islands.

Positive: Highly recommend this gem of a house. We had a wonderful week at Runes Cottage. The house is neat and clean and well equipped. The town itself is nice but the highlights are the trails around town and the beautiful shoreline. On our first night we saw Orcas passing by. The surroundings are stunning, it was magical. Thanks for everything.

Negative: We would have really appreciated it if we could have had a cup of coffee in the morning - since we only stayed for one night and most other places had coffee, we did not travel with our own coffee.

Positive: The house was more spacious than expected. It was clean and quiet. The kitchen was fully equipped. Garbage and recycle were separated with useful information given by the owner. Supermarket was nearby, bigger supermarkets were also not very far. Communication with owner was also easy. It was homey, comfortable and cosy. We would come back in the future.

Negative: None. Only a suggestion: maybe a small pamphlet/guide of what to do with kids or family such as short hiking, museums, etc. Also, having extra pillows would be nice.

Positive: We had a great stay here. The house was clean and had everything that we needed. It even had a e-charger that we could use, so it was super practical to charge our car. We would definitely come back here. The small town does not have any good restaurants or bars. You will need to travel a little bit if you want to eat out. But it compensates with less tourists and therefore quiet evenings.
