Great place for your family and friends to all be together in a cabin close to all the activities and happenings of Okoboji! We are a very short distance (approximately 6-7 blocks) from beaches, restaurants, bars, and Arnolds Park amusement park. We are located across from a nature reserve, a block from the water (West Lake) and seconds from an amazing bike trail, not to mention 6 blocks from shopping at the Emporium, dining at area restaurants while enjoying the activities on the water. We are 2 blocks from Emerald Hills Golf Course! You are sure to enjoy the lakes area no matter your interest whether it is you and friends or family. Come enjoy the Great Lakes of Iowa in Okoboji!

Summary: We were late to planning and had only a couple options with 5 bedrooms to accommodate our full family. The property was great! I was a little concerned reading the reviews but it was great! Very clean! There were dehumidifiers in the basement to avoid any damp basement smell mentioned by others. We had a small issue with the air conditioning and left a phone message for the owner. He was at the door in 10 minutes!!! And quickly fixed the issue. The house sits right along the road but is primarily bike and golf cart traffic. We had ample parking and there is. Spot Long the road the was easy to park the boat. We were able to walk to Arnold’s park and the beach on quiet back roads. I would definitely stay here again.

Summary: The property is in a RV court which is not listed on the description. The outdoor fire pit and patio area is very small and beside a busy road.. this property did not give a good depiction and the inside of the cabin is very dark. It could improve on cleanliness and the beds are not very comfortable . Many of the doors are warped, and do not close..one of the gas grills was not hooked up and the other was very dirty. I would not recommend this property.

Summary: We arrived to a clean property after having to wait to check in past the check in time. The property is located in an RV park and has a small, unkept yard. The patio was dirty and unkept with branches all over. It is not secluded at all, nor is it safe for children. The pictures were deceiving about the location of the property. The location is very busy located on a busy road and also with a road circling the house for any tenants to use. The house is not in walking distance of businesses or beaches. The house itself was clean. The kitchen faucet and dishwasher barely worked. We struggled to find information as there was no booklet or information left in the house for Wi-Fi login, remotes, checking out requirements, and garbage information. Parking spots were unclear. The host responded once in a while. We contacted owner about grill and remotes. One grill did not work and was not hooked up. For the amount of money spent to stay, we felt the information for booking was misleading.

Summary: The main problem with the listing is that it is misleading. It does say that it is located next to an RV park, but does not reveal that there are RV's surrounding the house (literally within feet). One end of the house is the office to the RV park, and there is very little outdoor space. The only outdoor space available is pictured - a small porch and fire pit - and it is just a few feet from a fairly busy road. So, if you are looking for privacy and outdoor space, this place is not for you. Also, the house, especially the basement, was extremely damp and musty. This may have been worse because of the very wet summer that Iowa has had, but it made especially the basement unpleasant. All the doors in the basement were difficult or impossible to close because of the swelling due to the moisture. We usually do a lot of our own cooking on vacations, and the pots and pans at the house were not adequate for cooking family dinners. Otherwise, the house was clean.
