Positive: Location and room was stunning. We were really happy we visited between Kanazawa and Kyoto. The traditional room was gorgeous and the surrounding walks and town were so scenic. Food quality was exceptional, perhaps a bit too traditional given our western palates but we loved experiencing the local cuisine nonetheless.

Positive: I liked everything about the onsen and adjoining forest for hiking.

Negative: There was nothing I didn't like. The accommodation had a private bath, which I paid extra for and it was worth it.
