Positive: Senacio and Julia are excellent people who in a short period of time I came to appreciate and respect. They are excellent hosts of a beautiful hotel located in the scenic town, Leymebamba, Perú. They keep their hotel very clean. It is an aesthetic facility with a warm atmosphere and ambiance. The beds are extremely comfortable. The bathroom shower has hot water. Senacio guided us on a beautiful hike in the scenic Peruvian countryside. If my path ever takes me back to Leymebamba I will stay there again.

Negative: I loved everything!

Positive: I chose Yaku Wasi based on a review and the fact that Senicio was a guide and had been part of the mummy recovery in 96. I was hoping to be able to go to Laguna de los Cóndores with him on his horses, but it was not the right time and too treacherous, but he did take me up to La Congona on horseback, a site where over 120 remains of round houses of the Chachapoya are and it was a really nice trip. The room was lovely, the bed heavenly and I had a nice three days with interesting conversations. And of course, the Leymebamba museum is really worth going to. Julia made me some really good breakfasts, different things every day, but you have to let her know because breakfast is not included. I am hoping to be back one day …

Positive: My husband and I stayed 3 days at Yaku Wasi and had a great time. Not only this place is beautiful, clean and very comfortable, but the owner Mr Cinecio and his wife are wonderful people. He is a very knowledgeable tour guide and took us in two amazing trips to explore ruins and lagoons in the surrounding areas. His wife made delicious breakfasts with local products. This is the perfect place to stay in Leymebamba. Highly recommended!

Positive: Senor Sinecio and his wife were so welcoming & the room was so beautiful! The balcony has a lovely view over Leymebamba. It was spotlessly clean and large. The washroom had great hot water. Towels & bed linens were provided. Senor Sinecio had been part of the infamous Lagunas de los Condores archaeological excavation & preservation. His family has lived in the area for generations & he is likely descended from the sarcophagi retrieved from the site. He was able to tell us so much history - & to direct us to so many present-day resources. We stayed 3 nights but would happily have extended our time with them if we could have. One day, Senor Sinecio took us on a hike to La Congore. As Lonely Planet says, this really was an Indiana Jones type experience. We plan to return & take more expeditions with Senor Sinecio. He is a professional guide and has 4 horses (although we walked). He offers many tour options in the area. As a side note, Leymebamba has so many trekking options. Ask locally as most trails don’t show up on any of the apps like AllTrails or MapsMe

Positive: Cinecio and Julia are warm, attentive and welcoming hosts who take a genuine interest in their guests. Cinecio is also a highly respected guide. Our room was spacious, very clean, nicely decorated, and had very comfortable beds. We enjoyed the view from our balcony. Only 3 minutes walk from the plaza. We wish we could have stayed longer.
