Historically, the Hamakua Coast was known for its sugarcane production that ended in the mid 90's. Situated on the slopes of Mauna Kea at 2300 ft, this elevation keeps this a cooler place in winter and spring months. Family oriented, pastoral neighborhood with beautiful areas to walk and/or ride bike. Expansive ocean views when coming or going from the property. Centrally placed with both an approximate 50 min drive to Hilo to the south and Waikaloa to the west. 30 min to Waimea (Kamuela) and 25 min to Waipio Valley to the north. Nearest town is Honokaa being 13 min away. Cook with a full equipped kitchen on a vintage range, sleep in a cozy queen size bed for 2 or an additional comfortable twin bed.
