Positive: The property was exactly as the pictures showed and the reviews described. It was cosy, clean and perfect for a couple. The location is excellent if you want to explore the island, we used it as a bit of a base to go and explore different areas of the island by quad bike each day. All the appliances were in good working order. The host even provided washing powder for the laundry :) The property host was wonderful, even managed to help me find a pharmacy when I needed it!

Negative: This property is self catering to an extent, there are plates, cutlery, glasses, chopping board, a pot, pan and seasoning but there are no oven trays/dishes or utensils like spoons/spatulas so cooking hot meals becomes a little difficult. The mosquitos are going to eat you alive wherever you go but a nice addition might be a mosquito net for the bed (there might be one but we couldn’t find it) or some mosquito spray!

Positive: The location was great, the hosts were lovely.

Negative: The property is split into 2 apartments. It was lovely for the first night as no one was next door. When the family arrived the following day we could hear everything. There’s no soundproofing, we could smell their cigarette smoke through the door (as non-smokers this wasn’t pleasant first thing in the morning) and we could hear snoring at night. The shower was inadequate. The hose was held onto the wall by a suction cup which kept falling off. The cubicle was too small to shower in, if you opened the curtain the bathroom got soaked. The price in low season is great, but I wouldn’t have paid a higher price in peak season. The house isn’t worth it.

Summary: A lovely house but improvements are needed for the bathroom & privacy.
