Summary: This was just what we were looking for. The house was roomy, open and charming. It was also relaxing to sit on the back deck surrounded by trees and listening to the calming sound of the brook. It felt like you out in the countryside yet the cute village of Sandy Hook along with Newtown restaurants and shopping were less than 10 minutes away.

Summary: Everything about our experience here was fantastic — the house is beautiful, peaceful and secluded, right next to a little brook. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice. The house manager went above and beyond, and everything we asked for (and more) was accommodated. We can’t wait to stay here again.

Summary: This home was clean and spacious for 4 adults and 2 dogs to spend a relaxed weekend for our mother's 60th birthday. We enjoyed walking around the property and all the amenities on the property plus good restaurants near by. Great communication with owner & manager. We would rent again.

Summary: The home is just right for a family, with lots of open space throughout the house. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Sitting on the back deck, overlooking the lawn and the river, is delightful. We enjoyed walks and drives in the area in and around Newtown. We had a wonderful time while we were there. The property manager was very helpful during the check-in process, and she responded immediately to a text containing a question while we were there. Just one caveat for older travelers: There is a step down from the kitchen and living room to the dining and sitting areas. My 80-year-old husband took a fall going down, and my 73-year-old brother-in-law tripped and fell going up.
