Positive: Mr. Shinobu is extremely nice and accommodating. He helped me learn about the history of the area, what it was like before and after the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, and his love of fishing! Mr. Shinobu also shared some of his prized Sake and Squid with me, and taught me about the old tradition of "talking with the boys" late at night over the alcohol. In the morning, he offered to make a very delicious pour-over coffee and we talked some more about my trip and where I was headed. Mr. Shinobu doesn't speak much English, but that doesn't stop him from using a translation app with his non-Japanese speaking guests. I would highly recommend his comfortable place to stay. The bathroom and bedrooms are all wonderfully spacious and comfortable.
Summary: Great host, great accommodations, great price. Would stay again!

Positive: Without a doubt, the best stay of our whole Japan trip! It's in a wonderfully peaceful neighborhood with a super cute dog. The owner was amazing—picking us up and driving us around to show us the area. A total must-stay!
