Summary: Brilliant family house, perfect to stay with children. They loved the garden and pool. Hosts are very friendly and helpful and we felt immediately at home. Very quiet and peaceful location.

Summary: The property was excellent and was certainly above expectations. It was extremely well equipped and was clean and tidy upon arrival. The swimming pool was superb and really enjoyed by everyone. The owner was very helpful and and a pleasure to deal with. The only down side was that the local shop and bakery were closed as the owners were on holiday but this couldn’t be helped and there is some larger supermarkets and a choice of bakeries in the next town which was only a 15 minute drive away. Over all a great property with excellent facilities in a lovely quiet location.

Summary: Beautiful and very well equipped house. Thé place to take a step back from daily life and really relax. Located in a nice quiet area with ample amenities in the vicinity. Big plus of the house is the large well equipped kitchen and nice swimming pool.

Summary: This is a great place for families to stay. The house has plenty of room, is quiet, clean and well furnished. The heated pool is excellent and garden gives plenty of space for kids to play. Francois was very welcoming and we had a very relaxing holiday. Highly recommended

Summary: We had a lovely relaxing week here. The house itself was beautiful, very clean and well kitted our. The pool was great and the kids loved the play tent and all the toys in the play barn. Cannot recommendation highly enough for a week away with family or friends.

Summary: The house is very well equipped and there was plenty of space for all of us. There are tables, chairs and parasols at intervals around the outside of the house so that we were able eat in the shade and admire the garden at any meal. The garden was sufficiently big to allow us to put up a badminton net and still have room for the boys to run around when they were not in the pool, where they spent hours every day. It was our first encounter with a Basque plancha, which is so much better than a barbecue. The location of the house is peaceful and rural with distant views and the local roads are quiet, a joy to drive on after the crowded roads in south-east England. The week was over far too quickly.

Summary: We've just enjoyed a lovely week here. I can't say enough positive things about the cottage and location. As soon as we arrived we knew we'd found somewhere special to enjoy our week. The accommodation is incredibly clean and well equipped, not to mention tastefully decorated. The beds were so comfy, the open plan living area and outdoor space fantastic. My 3 kids (9, 8 and 2) had so much fun in the large gardens enjoying the well thought out play room for children, complete with toys, scooters and games, as well as the lovely pool. The location is spectacular with fantastic views, we enjoyed lovely strolls around the area most evenings. Our host, Francois, made some fabulous recommendations for places to visit all within 45 minutes drive, such as Chablis and Auxerre and local medieval towns. The most perfect environment to enjoy a holiday, we will be back.

Summary: We arrived to a warm welcome by the owners and delicious gougere (cheese choux buns) and wine. The house is a beautifully renovated farmhouse, very clean, comfortable and 'homely' with everything we could possibly need including a well equipped kitchen and a gas barbecue. The gardens were beautiful to relax or play games in and there were many outside seating areas where we could sit in the sun or shade from breakfast and lunch by the pool to a barbecue at sunset. The pool was very clean and inviting and was warm enough to swim even on cooler days or in the evenings. The village is quiet and away from it all but only 3 mins drive from the village of Chailley which has a mini market; the town of St Florentin is 15 mins where there is a large supermarket. Our family of four had such a relaxing holiday we wish we could have stayed longer. Our thanks to the owners Francois and Gierli for their warm hospitality.
