Welcome to the WindySails condo at the Marinaside Resort in Nanaimo.
This ocean facing suite overlooks the Harbourside Marina and is located 1.1 km from the BC Ferries Departure Bay Terminal and 2.2 km from downtown Nanaimo. Shopping and all major amenities are 5 minutes away. There is also a main bus route within walking distance from the building.
The suite has 2 bedrooms and can sleep up to 4 guests. The suite is set up to offer short or longer term stays and has ample closet space.
WindySails is a modern suite with an open concept layout, marble floors, and large windows that fill the space with natural light. The suite is styled with modern furniture and decor.
The suite has two bedrooms, each fitted with a queen bed and west coast inspired linens. One bedroom has an ensuite with a stand up shower and the second bathroom includes a tub/shower combo. The bathrooms feature hotel inspired towels. Guests are welcome to enjoy the complimentary shampoo/conditioner/body wash.
The modern kitchen is equipped for cooking meals and features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and an island with stools. Complimentary coffee, tea, and sugar are provided.
The kitchen island can double as a work space for those guests working mobile.
The designated eating area has a dining table and 4 chairs.
There is a smart TV in the living room where guests can steam shows from their favourite apps.
Open the double set of French Doors that lead to the deck overlooking the marina. Enjoy spectacular ocean views and the sailboats moored at the marina. The deck has a bistro table and 2 chairs.
Guests are welcome to use the in-suite washer/dryer and the complimentary laundry detergent.
NOTE: One bedroom has a portable air conditioner.

Summary: Two of us stayed in Nanaimo to explore the island via day trips. We loved having a home base rather than changing lodging. Multiple times. The condo was well-equipped and very comfortable.

Summary: One bedroom had no windows and we couldn't regulate the heat but otherwise the apartment was exactly what was advertised. We enjoyed the central location and were able to walk to central city and easy drive to many parks and hikes. One set of keys was not easy (some people bicycled and others hiked).

Summary: We enjoyed our quiet the area was, I myself enjoyed the full kitchen and washer and dryer. Made our stay more enjoyable we were there for 5 days so I was glad to be able to cook us breakfast and made us a nice couple of dinners and was glad everything I need to provide good meals.

Summary: We liked the condo in general. Well stocked with dishes, glasses and utensils. To get access to the condo, make sure to make arrangements with the host for getting the access key. Would recommend taking slippers due to all marble flooring was hard and a little cold. The sofa was a little small to accommodate 4 adults comfortably. Not close to anything other than a cute Pho restaurant off the parking lot. Transportation is needed unless you are OK to walk about 2 miles to get downtown. Overall the accommodations were good, clean, and safe.

Summary: The apartment was beautiful but when we arrive the carbon monoxide detector was going off in the bedroom and the host did not rectify the problem and also found that the second bedrooms detector had been taken down, so no actual detectors were working. The upstairs apartment was very noisy you could here everything through the floor and there was a humming sound in the spare bedroom that kept you awake.actual detec
