Positive: Very nice little cabin, close to Mildenhall. If you like to see planes land or take-off this is your spot. Almost directly underneath final approach so you can see planes all the time. Depending on the wind you may see jets for Lakenheath. The cabin was very nice, good layout, enough space for two. There is a little outdoor area to chill. The owners greeted us with a warm welcome. we will be back in the summer.

Positive: Extremely clean and well-thought-out amenities, we forgot our body wash soap, and there was some provided, so that was very helpful. We greatly appreciated the supplies that were included for the wood stove, and everything was very neat.,

Negative: The shower was a bit confusing to use, the owners did eventually let us know how to use it but that was after the fact of us having to figure it out. I suggest adding some better instructions to the black folder that was provided on the counter or hanging instructions somewhere in the bathroom.

Summary: A lovely quiet, comfortable, and private short stay location that I would definitely use again.

Positive: Beautifully presented shepherd's hut and very welcoming hosts. The hut was cosy and clean and situated in a position that allowed privacy as well as a lovely outside space to relax. Very peaceful. We're sure this would make for a lovely weekend away in winter and summer alike.

Negative: The location suited us as we were attending a wedding just 20 minutes away at Hockwold Hall. However, if we did not have the event, we're not sure the location offered much in terms of places to eat. Saying that, our hosts kindly left an array of takeaway menus and delivery was no problem.

Positive: The hosts are wonderful, the hut is set within an old paddock, very peaceful, the bed is uber comfortable! I didn't want to get out of it for work! The log burner is a great touch as is the private decking area with furniture and BBQ.

Negative: Unfortunately, when the planes come in to land it's a bit loud. Otherwise you can hear a pin drop it's that tranquil.

Summary: I'd happily stop there again!

Positive: Absolutely beautiful, the hut is beautiful, the area is beautiful, the host is lovely and friendly. I had the joy of falling asleep in the most comfortable bed listening to an owl. Being basically next door to mildenhall air base, I had the excitement of watching two us airforce planes fly so low overhead I could see the pilots. It only happened twice and in no way spoiled the serenity. Around half an hour drive from Wicken Fen, and half an hour from Ely, I would highly recommend a visit.

Positive: Had a lovely weekend away with my husband. Was lovely no tv & could spend time together. Played board games, bowls & went on lovely walks with our dog. Was lovely walking in the countryside. In the evenings saw beautiful sunsets & the stars at night, & got to see the planes coming in.
