Positive: Comfortable, clean and well located. The Brownlow Arms at nearby Caldwell is highly recommended for excellent, well-priced food - so good, we ate there every night!

Negative: Some (mostly minor) issues, including the bathroom door handle which kept coming unscrewed. Tried screwing it back in without tools but it kept detaching from the door. Tried to make contact with the owner, but they never responded.

Positive: The cottage was great. Facilities were good, the shower area could do with a good clean as mentioned earlier. Also the window lock was broken which is fine while the weather is ok but would be a problem if the colder months x would still come back again

Negative: The lack of space to walk the dog the area indicated on site map no longer exists. Also, there is a wasps nest in the roof to the right side of the door.

Positive: Lovely little cottage in a good , peaceful location. Really comfortable beds! We would return!

Negative: The details did not state that the cottage was actually sited on a caravan park. The outlook from the garden was the side of a caravan ! The photo in the details made it appear that it had an open view over countryside, this was definitely not the case. A bit misleading! The shower area could do with a clean up....black mould not very attractive! I notice this has been mentioned in previous reviews but not been dealt with. Extra crockery and cutlery would be good....there were only 3 mugs! Outside furniture could do with a clean up or replaced and paving on path very uneven. All small things but easily fixable!

Positive: Lovely location. Very peaceful. Good heating system and comfortable beds.

Negative: Owner did not respond to request to extend our stay. Neither did owner pick up the phone when I contacted them; we had arrived in the dark and couldn’t locate the property easily. Drain in the shower room inadequate as it overflowed .

Summary: Great little property in a very relaxing setting.
