We areon a gravel road that runs along the North Fork of the Tye River, in the middle of the George Washington National Forest. From our front door you can walkalong the trout-stocked riveror you can venture out to locals-onlyhikes, 250 year old operating orchards/berry farms,Crabtree Falls, the Appalachian Trail, and Blue Ridge Parkway. All are withinseveral miles, and it is30 minutes to the 151 trail of wineries, cideries, and breweries, as well as Wintergreen. The cabin features a hot tub, a fire pit, outdoor shower andhas two bedrooms, each with a with queen bed. New for 2023, high speed internet. Note: there is no direct cell phone coverage, there is a house phone, and some cell carriers allow wifi connection for cell phones.

Summary: Awesome home! Very relaxing. The host left plenty of hints and a few things in the fridge! Coffee was great. We will be back. I cannot recommend this home enough. You will not be disappointed.

Summary: Couldn’t have thought of a more peaceful stay. From the start, Scott was extremely helpful and accommodating. In fact, he was so thorough that I didn’t have to ask a single question before or during my stay. Something that sets this place apart from others is that it doesn’t feel like a vacation rental, it feels more similar to staying over at a relatives home which I really appreciated. The cabin holds unique, creative features and has any and everything you might need. We happened to stay amidst a surprise snow day and it was such a treat, it only added to the coziness of the home. In a way, this property encourages you to be more present and enjoy those around you, so I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to either escape the hustle and bustle that day to day life can bring or just have a quiet getaway. The hot tub was a nice little bonus as well. I am already planning on when we will be back.

Summary: Scott is probably one of the most proactive and generous hosts I've ever encountered on any STR platform. From the get-go he offered us late check out and other lovely suggestions and accommodations. The home is beautifully located and oh so peaceful and quaint. Check in was very easy, there is no signal (as Scott warned) about 15min or so out, but once you arrive and connect to the WiFi we didn't have any issues. It also has every amenity you could imagine, especially in the kitchen, we ended up not eating out very much and instead cooking at the house for most meals because it was so well stocked! Can't recommend this place enough, we'll definitely stay again if we're ever in the area!
