Positive: Beautiful and secluded location. Osgood pond and the Japanese tea House were very very serene and picturesque. Our unit, Kirkwood, was newly renovated and had a delightful Pine scent when we arrived.
Negative: It had recently snowed and they are poorly staffed. Thus, the paths to the Japanese tea House and other buildings on the grounds were inaccessible. My daughter and I needed to shovel them ourselves. Those facilities are advertised as being accessible to the guests. That's unacceptable. Also, the Bowling Alley looks like a decaying museum piece. The pool table and billiard balls and cue sticks were cracked and broken. It doesn't look like the building has been cleaned since President Coolidge visited in 1926. It is totally unusable. And the tea house, while very serene, has antiquated furniture.
Summary: Serene location but poorly staffed and crumbling facilities..

Positive: The property is beautiful and welcoming.
Negative: The pillows were horrible. They were so bad that they impacted our ability to have a good night’s sleep. That is an easy fix though.
Summary: We enjoyed the remote location and the history.

Positive: Great location. A piece of history. Great time, will be a tradition for us every year.
Negative: Only feedback I gave was to make all the glassware and dishes the same. They were kind of a hodge podge. Also to have a grill brush to use to scrape grill before we used it. All minor things.
Summary: Great time.

Positive: The beauty of the Adirondacks, white pine camp. The history of the camp. The solitude you can have with just a little stroll. The loons talking in the morning with the fog rolling off Osgood pond. Being close with nature. The white pines. Excellent place to relax or take a canoe or kayak ride.
Negative: The only thing I can recommend is a more comfortable mattress
