Positive: Amazing location, private kite spot, hotel on the kite spot which is incredible, rooms super nice

Negative: Service wasn’t consistent, sometimes the buffet was empty of food when you arrived later which was a shame, the area around the pool wasn’t always cleaned- drinks were left, napkins flying, and also super hard to book and make changes with the reservations team

Positive: Our stay at White Dune Canyon in Dakhla was truly a great experience from start to finish. The setting alone is something special, surrounded by stunning white canyons, it feels both remote and peaceful, with plenty of opportunities for long, beautiful walks right from your doorstep. The room was spacious, clean, nothing was missing, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. The food was consistently good, and what really made the difference was the staff: incredibly welcoming and warm, making us feel at home from the very first day. A real highlight of our trip was the week of kitesurfing lessons. Aziz was an excellent instructor; patient, clear, and encouraging, especially as we were complete beginners. He played a huge role in helping us not only improve quickly but genuinely fall in love with the sport. A special mention also to Ash, who brought great energy to the place. Always smiling and organizing activities, bringing a friendly atmosphere throughout our stay. A big thank you to everyone at the hotel and the kite surf school for such a memorable experience. We would strongly recommend it and truly hope to come back soon.

Positive: 1.The effort to maintain an ecologically run resort. 2.The landscaping and the spacing between the guest houses. 3. Furnishings were both simple, yet totally elegant 4.The meals were copious and varied. 5.The beds, and bedding were the most comfortable I have ever had outside of home!

Negative: 1. I believe it would have been helpful, if upon arrival, info re possible excursions (ie not only to surf elsewhere) were available. We found out only on our last day about the day excursion to the oasis, which would have been the cream on our coffee!! I think this could be done, without seeming to be pushy. 2. A free apéro was said to be available before the Xmas dinner. This was not apparent. We had to pay for a glass of wine.

Summary: The silence was “deafening”. A total escape from big city life!

Positive: Great location for kiting. Boutique style set up

Negative: Some of the staff is great.. trying hard to to the best. The other half is incompetent, not interested, not welcoming. Quiet a mix. Same goes for the kite school. Some supercrews, some don't give a s..t. Careful with your kite: the landing/parking area for kites is hard sand, full off sharp objects, both man made (construction) and from stones, shells. Killed a new kite within a day. No carpet or soft sand on top. No one seems to want to rake that off. Bringing old gear is an idea.
