THE UNIQUE STORY, TOLD BY THE HOUSE OWNER
Because Jos had a client, whom he helped with her financial affairs, who lost her leg in a fatal accident, he came up with the idea of adapting his holiday home for disabled people. Together with his brother-in-law, a handyman, the bedroom on the ground floor was adapted to all the wishes of disabled people. The adjoining bathroom underwent a complete makeover to create enough space here as well.
From that moment on, the reviews for this holiday home have increased positively and it is now rated 4.7 out of 5. The house is divided into two parts. Upstairs are the 'normal' bedrooms where there is also room to chill. Downstairs you will find the aforementioned spacious bedroom with bathroom fully adapted for disabled guests. This includes a wheelchair-friendly shower where the glass doors can be opened completely and where there is a wheelchair that can be used to shower completely. In addition, the bed can be lowered to make it easier to get in and out, and it can also be raised in case someone needs care. They have even thought of a remote control to turn the lights on and off, so you don't have to get out of bed.

Summary: Vriendelijke ontvangst door de eigenaars. Proper gezellig huis. Mooie omgeving. Alles was aanwezig. Voorzien van voldoende bed- en badlinnen. In onze situatie met onze zoon die in een rolstoel zit kon de aanpassing beter. De deuropeningen zijn iets te smal en de slaapkamer was wat klein. De living met open keuken was prima.

Summary: Uitstekend huis met goede voorzieningen en leuke eigenaren het voelt als thuis komen geweldige omgeving dit was ons derde keer dat we er verbleven de vierde keer voor 2023 is al geboekt

Summary: We zijn hier nu voor de tweede keer. Eigenlijk zouden we in 2020 gaan maar Covid stak daar een stokje voor. Gelukkig konden we onze reservering doorschuiven naar 2021. Helaas hadden we, maar vooral mijn echtgenote, weer een tegenvaller. Een dag voor vertrek, de auto al ingepakt, zorgde een stenose , een vernauwing van het wervelkanaal, ervoor dat ze niet meer kon lopen, amper zitten en liggen. Veel pijn en geen uitzicht op snelle verbetering. Dus annulering, maar ..... meteen gereserveerd voor 2022, dezelfde periode. Allemaal voortreffelijk geregeld, onder meer ook door de inzet van Jos de Vaan, de eigenaar van deze briljante woning. Twee dagen na onze annulering stonden Jos en Ellie al bij ons om de tegenvaller een beetje te verzachten en brachten daarvoor ook nog eens een hele mooie plank met kaas, tapas, noten, fruit toast mee. Ze bleven ook contact houden gedurende het jaar. Maar we zijn er nu, voelden ons meteen weer thuis, zeker na de hartelijke ontvangst van Jos, Ellie, Toon en Ans (zus van Ellie) en dank zij de inrichting van het huis en alle voorzieningen voor minder validen kunnen we genieten van het huis, de directe omgeving, de Ardennen en de Eifel. Ook onze hond herkende direct de omgeving en heeft in de omgeving zijn vlaggen al weer uitgezet. Zo meteen weer naar Monschau en, later, lekker eten bij een restaurant met Nederlanders aan het fornuis. We hebben nog twee en een halve week tegoed ! Later meer daar over !

Summary: Na een fantastische verwelkoming konden wij genieten van een mooi familieverblijf, zowel voor de mobiele gebruikers als rolstoelgebruikers. Er is werkelijk aan alles gedacht om het verblijf zo fijn mogelijk te maken. Een aanrader in alle opzichten.

Summary: De bijzonder vriendelijke ontvangst, de prachtige omgeving en het fijne (en zeer schone) huisje voorzien van alle mogelijke zaken die je nodig hebt. Alles was perfect geregeld en we hebben een heerlijk weekend gehad.

Summary: Vriendelijke ontvangst. Ook de contacten ervoor met de eigenaars waren zeer positief. In het huis zelf is het aangenaam vertoeven, ruim en veel daglicht. In de tuin kan je op elk ogenblik van de dag van de zon genieten (tenminste als ze schijnt). Geen negatieve opmerking.

Summary: Verzorgde woning, extra aandacht voor rolstoelgebruiker. Toch enkele opmerkingen. Lavabomeubel in badkamer beneden moet anders. Rolstoel kan niet onder lavabo, enkele vaste handvaten ontbreken aan toilet. De afneembare zijn niet goed,blijven niet hangen aan de tegels. Woning gelegen aan kruispunt,redelijk drukke baan.Als je de ramen in slaapkamer open laat heb je s´morgens veel hinder van voorbij rijdende auto´s. Wij zijn met een hond. Zou leuk zijn geweest als de tuin afgesloten was aan zo´n drukke weg,ook als je met kleine kinderen bent. Voor de rest is de omgeving en huis mooi en comfortabel. Alle voorzieningen aanwezig.

Summary: Mooi,kraaknet huis met alles er op en er aan, zelfs voor de hond. Mooie ligging waar je direct kan wandelen in het bos. Als we dan toch minpuntje geven, is het voor de verwarming. Enkel de eigenaar kan de temperatuur regelen in huis van op afstand. Telkens je het te koud vind , hebben wij toch paar keer voorgehad, moet je berichtje sturen naar eigenaar en hij doet er dan een graadje bij. Opstaan bij 18 graden en 20 overdag vonden wij wat weinig.Dat je dan telkens moet vragen of het aub iets warmer mag, vonden wij niet zo praktisch. Wel supervriendelijke eigenaars.
