Positive: Great views, spacious, comfortable, felt like a home away from home. The restaurant was lovely, with lots of interesting antiques on display. We did our own cooking but it was cool to look around. The menu looked delicious. We enjoyed the goats and sheep grazing nearby on the hillside, and the hikes. And loved the grassy roof.

Negative: The driveway was one lane wide, on a steep hill, but thankfully we didn't meet anyone coming the other way. Access to a washing machine would be handy.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay at Westeras Gard! The cottage was absolutely adorable – cozy, charming, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The scenery around the property was simply breathtaking, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. The location was also ideal for exploring the surrounding area and discovering all the beautiful sights nearby. Overall, we were completely satisfied with everything and would love to come back again!

Positive: Really nice place in a really nice location, comfortable to get to Geiranger from there, the path is close to the Fydalsjuvet viewpoint so you can stop by on the south path. There is a narrow gravel road leading up to the farm but I managed it with the Volkswagen ID.4 by driving slowly and carefully. I took the small apartment cabin for one person and everything was great - bed, shower, and kitchen, and the size was good . The owners were very helpful and friendly and recommended the Storsæterfossen hike which is right there and you get to walk under a waterfall. I didn't have a chance to do it but if you're staying you can try incorporating it in your plan.

Negative: The cabin windows doe overlook the path and other cabins so you need to close the curtains if you want privacy.

Positive: Fantastic location with views surrounded by beautiful hikes & llamas. Very Quiet. Due to the weather you need hiking shoes/boots as ground is wet. We had dinner in the restaurant, the food was really delicious. The carpark had an EV charging point. The cabin is good value for money however not modern. Linen and cleaning are extra however we did our own cleaning.

Negative: If you are afraid of heights or narrow driveways then the short driveway up is hairpin and narrow however if you can get past this you’re in for a treat.

Positive: Beautiful views, access to many hikes, friendly staff.

Negative: Would have liked to have a few basics in the kitchen like coffee/tea, coffee filters, paper towels, salt/pepper, and oil. We only stayed one night so made it hard to cook without investing in these basic items. Extra cost for lines (130nok per person) and option to clean your self or pay a cleaning fee. Nice to have these options, but once added in a regular Hotel would be similar cost.
