NO HIDDEN FEES for this high-end, sunny and comfortable bedroom that sleeps two people, with private bath and kitchenette (full size fridge, microwave, toaster oven, two electric burners perfect for boiling), an electric kettle, toaster, blender, and coffee pot), all thoughtfully laid out within 350 square feet. Peet's coffee, Ghiradelli cocoa, Bigelow teas, and flavored carbonated waters all included.
Enter through our very clean garage and then see the ocean (and spectacular sunset colors) in the distance from the expansive windows. Free wifi, TV with multiple channels. AMPLE STREET PARKING right outside (weeknights and weekends) or just a block away (weekdays).
We recently updated our backyard landscaping with a sunny artisanal stone seating area, water feature, loads of flowers and greenery, with gas BBQ - bring your grillables and help yourself! And we just opened a FITNESS CENTER in the cottage above the garden!
SUSTAINABILITY: Being in California we try to conserve water but if you're staying five nights or more, use our energy-efficient, greywater-producing washing machine, and dryer - no charge. Our washing machine waters our front yard! Electricity is courtesy of our solar panels. We have a low-flush toilet in the studio.
A seven-minute picturesque stroll to quaint but active West Portal with multiple eateries and eclectic shopping, with MUNI train lines for a 4-minute ride to the Castro, 11 minute ride to Powell (downtown SF). Or transfer after 6 minutes at Civic Center for BART for regional destinations, e.g. San Francisco Airport, 29 minutes. A cab from the airport costs about $60. We're about 2 miles from the UCSF Parnassus campus.
West Portal features numerous opportunities to hike through off-the-beaten-path, non-touristy neighborhoods in Forest Hill, Saint Francis Wood, and also Mount Davidson for stellar views of the entire bay. Easy ride (or 45-minute walk) to the San Francisco Zoo and the Pacific Ocean.

Summary: This is a studio with every detail perfectly attended to. It feel like a big space, nice kitchen, seltzer and coffee available. I can’t think of anything that could be improved upon. You’ll enjoy your stay and we will be back !

Summary: Charming studio with all you could ask for! We lacked for nothing. Great neighborhood with a big variety of shops and services. It even includes a view of the ocean. The Hosts are Superhosts and are so friendly and kind. They went above and beyond to make our stay a grand memory.

Summary: We very much enjoyed our stay in this well-situated, very clean property in a safe neighborhood. It had easy parking on the street directly in front of the home, with a separate, off the street entrance. The host was responsive to the few questions we had, and went out of the way to find a restaurant open when we arrived on Thanksgiving day. Everything needed was in the unit, including a toothbrush my husband forgot to pack! Definitely recommend. It's an easy walk into West Portal with dining options, including an excellent bakery that should not be missed: Noe Valley Bakery!
