Positive: It was neat, tidy and cosy. They had everything we needed for our stay. The area had stunning views from the hut.

Negative: It was chilly in the early morning and late evening and although there was a small heater, it didn’t really warm the place up. There was a log burner but for the short time heat was required it wasn’t worth it. This however did not detract from the cosiness of the hut.

Summary: Lovely hut, idyllic location and just right for our needs.

Positive: The location is fabulous and ideal if you want to explore the area. The shepherd's hut is in general well equipped with a hob and microwave. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and as I have a bad back that was really important for me. Dogs are welcomed and the location is ideal provided your dog is well behaved. There were no livestock around at the time that I was there in February but there is access to a road should your dog be one that wanders a long way and doesn't have good recall.

Negative: I am short at only 5' and luckily had taken a step with me having seen how high the bed was and because I had hurt my back. I was very glad I had because otherwise I would not have been able to reach mugs or glasses as they are in cupboards that are quite high (for me!). There were plenty of glasses but only two mugs so another couple of mugs would be useful.

Negative: Nothing wrong with the bed we are used to a very hard mattress and this one was very soft not to our comfort but that's our personal opinion no reflection on the bed at all

Positive: A very nicely laid out wagon in a very beautiful setting with a stunning view. It was the perfect location for our hiking holiday and was lovely and quiet too. We would have no hesitation to book again.

Negative: The water in the shower was tepid at best, but otherwise there was nothing at all to detract from our stay so a minor point only.
