Our home is in Merifield Acres. Perfect place to walk, bike, run, fish, swim, kayak, canoe. Our cove is right off the main channel. Kerr lake (Buggs Island) is a place that you can swim in the main channel.
You can tie off your boat @ the private NEW dock (2nd dock on the right), Our property joins the Core of Engineers.
We are only a few miles from town, where there are restaurants, shops, golf course and a Farmers Market.
The walk to the water is 150-200 yards on a cleared path.

Summary: The home was comfortable and had everything we needed. The home was a bit dated but exactly what we expected based on the photos. We didn’t spend much time inside the house so it functioned as we needed (sleeping and making coffee and pancakes for breakfast).

Summary: My husband and I spent our anniversary each year at Buggs Island when we were first married. Now 2 children and one grandson later we are celebrating our 40th Anniversary. We decided to return and chose this lovely rental for our stay. The cottage was lovely and our stay was perfect. Great location to town and the dock was perfect for our boat and fishing with our grandson.
