Positive: It was exactly as advertised! Rod greeted us with tea and chocolate cake as a welcome, and then he and Gloria proceeded to being two of the best hosts we have ever had: our accommodations were spotless, and the meals they prepared for us were delicious!

Positive: The location is brilliant with easy access to the rest of the island. The room was very clean and comfortable and the welcome from Rod and Gloria was exceptional. Rod was happy to provide information on what to see on the island and was happy to chat to guests throughout the stay. The meals were also very tasty and good value for money.

Summary: When I return to the island this is where I’ll be staying!

Positive: Our recent stay at Wardicott was an absolute delight! From the moment we were greeted at the door and welcomed in with tea and cake, we enjoyed very comfy beds, delicious breakfasts, and lots of helpful information regarding things to see and do in the area. Rod is a fount of knowledge about Lewis and Harris and entertained us with details about the islands' culture and history. The rooms were immaculate and had all the necessary amenities, with strong hot showers, and we had lots of privacy and space to relax. The location is ideal, conveniently located a short drive away from the town of Stornoaway, and with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

Positive: Wardicott is a beautiful house and is tastefully decorated. Rod was very welcoming with a great local knowledge and took the time to share. A residents lounge was spacious, had everything guests could possibly want - plus an Honesty Bar, which was a fantastic extra! Our room was lovely - spotless, cosy and and everything and more to make our stay perfect. Breakfast was cooked to order, had so much choice and was more than ample to set you up for the day. We opted for an evening meal - 3 courses of homemade deliciousness from Rod’s wife Gloria - don’t have lunch if you choose the Dinner!
