Summary: My sister and I have stayed twice on our yearly pilgrimage from the south to visit our roots. We love the situation and genuine care and friendliness of the staff. Just a couple of points about our last visit. The twin room in the annex(7) was very dark which was accentuated by the sombre decor. The towels were rather thick and didn't seem to dry us efficiently! However , our first visit(governess's room) was much more pleasant and welcoming. I'm sure we'll be back. Appreciated the free bottles of water on our leaving on a very hot day. A big thank you to all the staff and hope that ?Adrian who looked after us at breakfast will still be there.

Summary: Walworth Hall is a great hotel set in a castle! Everything was perfect .... well almost! We had booked a suite, which was everything we wished for except it was on the top floor! There are no lifts and so our room was only accessible by climbing the stairs. As we are both over the age of 80, this was pretty tiring! Fortunately we were only staying one night. I would definitely recommend the hotel as an amazing place to stay but if we stay there again, we would request a room on a lower floor!

Summary: You arrive and say "wow". Full of history. People were incredibly polite and helpful. Clean and pleasant. What's not to like.

Summary: All good except levels of noise by other guests in adjacent rooms. Heat in the room, it was too hot, no a/c and only one window would open. Fan provided by staff made more noise than it provided cooler air.

Summary: We stayed in Annexe part of the castle, very dated. Tiny window in our room with lots of ivy growing over so lots of spiders coming in. Room was very small. Breakfast was included the castle cooked breakfast was very poor,hardly anything on plate,i personally have to have gluten-free so all i had was 1 mushroom, 1 half piece of tomato, 2 small slices of bacon,1 poached egg,had to ask if i could have gluten-free bread,finally got 2 slices. Didn't find the staff very pleasant.

Summary: This was for two engineers who were working away for the night, they both loved it fro the second they arrived to when they sadly had to leave, rooms and food were amazing and we will be booking it again.

Summary: Staff exceptional, esp Dale and Ashley. They took marvellous and personal care of us. The Castle itself is showing its age. The mattress in our room needs replacing. We had a suite in one of the towers, which was huge, with a massive sitting room, but it was at the very top, only accessible by stairs, so unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. The evening meal and cooked breakfasts were delicious and cooked to order, a rare experience in this day and age.

Summary: Our stay at Walworth Castle Hotel was truly memorable, not just because of the stunning setting, but thanks to the incredible staff who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Adrian, part of the breakfast team at the 1189 Kitchen & Bar, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we started each morning with a smile. The service was excellent, and his warm demeanor really stood out. A special thank you to Mary at reception, who took the time—despite it being a busy period—to personally show us the castle’s dungeon. It was such a thoughtful gesture and added an unexpected and fascinating highlight to our stay. Her enthusiasm and kindness made a big impression on us. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and welcoming getaway.
