Negative: The apartment was located at the busy intersection. Since the local hospital was a few blocks away there was a lot of ambulance traffic traveling by the apartment with lights and sirens blaring throughout the night. No solid sleep.
Summary: Ok place to stay but the ambulances will keep you awake.

Positive: I grew up in the neighborhood and found this apartment convenient and accessible for the weekend events planned. Natasha and Lou, the hosts, were extremely polite and helpful. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, for half the price of the two hotel rooms that would have been required. Reasonable rate with a full kitchen, for those that would like to prepare meals instead of going out.

Positive: Two large separate bedrooms with closets, very comfortable beds, a kitchen, a huge new smart TV in the living room, 35 minutes to all the attractions of Newport and beaches, fair price. Great grocery supermarket close by.
Negative: The microwave and dishwasher did not work. My husband spent half an hour washing the dishes on checkout day. We loaded the dishwasher, but then had to unload everything and wash the dishes by hand. The dishwasher is not attached to the kitchen cabinets, it seems like it wasn't installed properly. The glass ring in the microwave doesn’t seem to belong to it, which might explain why it isn’t working. I also recommend providing at least a few hangers for the closet and an iron. The dresser was dusty inside, so we chose not to use it. Additionally, if you close the inside lower lock on the front door, it would lock you out, and you won't be able to unlock it with the smart lock. In summary, it would be a decent rental apartment, with a few easy improvements.
