Summary: Check-in was painfully slow with long lines, which set the tone. The room itself was large and comfortable, but the biggest miss was food and beverage. Brunch options are very limited and lunch felt heavy and inflexible. At 11:00 a.m. we were refused a simple eggs-and-toast request because breakfast had just ended—surprising at a hotel claiming five-star service. The little café with ice cream and matcha shakes is a nice touch, but it doesn’t make up for the lack of a proper late-morning menu. Staffing also seemed thin: on a Saturday night there was only one doorman and no bellman available to bring a delivery to the room. Overall, this felt like a solid four-star property—not a true five-star. I wouldn’t choose it again. Four Seasons (and even Grand Floridian) delivered a far superior experience. I can’t think of a reason to return unless there are no other options.
