Summary: Lovely room, clean and tidy. Limited breakfast option for an Englishman, no cereals, no baked beans but that’s a ME problem not your problem.

Summary: This is a solid choice if you are in the area. The hotel isn't cutting edge and your rooms will feel dated with few amenities but there isn't anything "wrong" with any part of the hotel. Everyone has their own preferences, admittedly. Personally, I found the bed to be uncomfortable and when I woke up in the morning I felt like I wasn't well-rested. I know that it is common in German bathrooms to have a tiny partition on the shower that barely blocks water from the shower head. I think this is an effort to improve sanitation and accessibility; in this case, it went overboard and it was almost impossible to keep water in the shower without spraying all over the bathroom. I suppose a very short person wouldn't have an issue but it was problematic for me. The breakfast but basic but it was also inexpensive (7.50 Euro per adult) and I was pleased by the huge servings of coffee and the very good bacon (hard to find in Europe at most places, good bacon). Generally speaking, this is a Good hotel. Not likely to win any big awards for being at the cutting edge but I think that's probably how most of their customers like it. I wouldn't have a problem staying here again.

Summary: We chose this hotel so as not to be in the city of Kässel. The location north of the city is in a quiet area. Our room was clean and comfortable with a small but functional bathroom. The breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of coffee served in a carafe. Within walking distance was the summer retreat of King Wilhelm VIII which was open for tours.

Summary: Very pleasant location in a quiet area outside of Kassell. A short walk to the local station to catch a tram into Kassell. The hotel was clean and well appointed. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was good offering traditional food with vegetarian options. The beds were comfortable and the room was cool, even though it was 30 degrees outside.
