Summary: I liked the isolation of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff and locals. A comfortable room with nice en suite. The breakfast (cereal, toast etc.) included was a real bonus and a chance to meet other travelers. Also it was very good value for money!

Summary: I love the friendliness of this country pub, the publican has the easy going attentive manner, the food is amazing. Id wanted to come and stay for a while since i had previously lived in duntroon and on occassion gone for a ride with others over danseys for the day and they had introduced me to waipiata country hotel, i liked going there from the first day i stepped in the door. Id always wanted to have dinner here rather than a quick lunch. It didnt disappoint.
