Positive: Had a wonderful stay — the place is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views and such a peaceful atmosphere. The whole team was incredibly kind, caring, and welcoming. Special thanks to Dilshan for the amazing Ambuluwawa Tower tour and to Gayan for taking such wonderful care of dinner and breakfast. Everyone made my stay truly unforgettable — I’ll definitely be back

Positive: The view is phenomenal and the all the staff, were very welcoming and kind.

Negative: A family was staying during our stay which significantly impacted by enjoyment of the property and quality of sleep. However the W15 team did as much as they could to rectify the situation. The next time staying I will book with the assistance of management team to ensure I get the full benefit of such a spiritual peaceful place. The cook Yaba was very attentive and cooked us some beautiful meals. The manger and front desk coordinator were helpful, professional and warm Ttroughout our stay.

Positive: What a phenomenal location! Incredible staff and hospitality. Great property with some amazing views. Very well maintained! The staff really is a big highlight and positive - the manager, the gentleman at the reception (imaath I think) and then of course yapa and Sanjeewa who took wonderful care of us. Highly recommend W15 - best in Kandy!

Negative: Very minor points. Property of this caliber should have running hot water - not a geyser with 7 minute hot water capacity. Food on some days is excellent and some days is a complete miss. But the positives are much more!!

Positive: W15 has great potential for an exceptional boutique hotel. The location and the views are excellent. Pool area very nice. Several patios and common areas that surround the hotel making it aesthetically very beautiful. Surrounded by nature and the mountains the views and topography are a beautiful backdrop for a memorable stay.

Negative: There is a lot of potential for this hotel. A grand sweeping entry into a well designed common area of the hotel make for a very good first impression. However, for the price the rooms (there are not many) are standard size, perhaps even a little small. For the size of the common areas, easily would hold 100+ comfortably, there are only a few rooms.

Positive: We arrived to the W15 Ambulawawa on our first day of our Sri Lankan adventure. After a long day of driving we arrived in the afternoon to paradise. Greeted warmly by the kind Achini and Amila our stay began perfectly with a dip in the stunning infinity pool. Sunset can be viewed from the special sunset deck the perfect place to unwind and chill - simply spectacular. Every care was given to us by Yapa who catered to our every need. Dinner and breakfast were delicious thank you Sanjiwa and Yapa. We walked to the Ambulawawa tower from there, a steep short climb - perfect before the big breakfast we were served. Can't wait to reccomend to our friends To be honest, we would rate 11 but it's not an option.

Negative: We had only booked to stay one night. We wished we had a longer stay 🥰

Positive: The location and the views are breathtaking!! There’s so much to do at Ambuluwawa our stay was very entertaining! The food is amazing !! the staff is very friendly

Negative: We stayed in the Master Suite, expecting a luxurious experience, but unfortunately, it did not meet the standards for the price we paid. The carpet was not clean—we found watermelon seeds and chocolate biscuit crumbs—and there were tea cup stains all over the furniture. That said, the room itself was very spacious, and the panoramic view was absolutely stunning, especially at night. The staff was amazing, and the food was great, which added to the overall experience. However, considering the price, it didn’t feel worth it. I’d happily pay 70K, but anything beyond that doesn’t seem justified.
