Positive: Everything! The hosts were adorable and very easy to contact, the 180° view of the sea is breathtaking and absolutely unique, the village is calm and safe, the room very big and clean, the welcome pack with coffee, biscuits etc delicious. Just know that the Studio is situated on top of a little hill 35-45 minutes walk from Hydra port so you have to be in good physical condition because you can only get there by water taxi or foot (water taxi takes 5 minutes for 25 Eur.. which didn't run for us because of bad weather!). No supermarket in Vlichnos, but there is a good restaurant (Taverna) and a nice beach 3 minutes away by foot!

Negative: nothing!

Positive: Perfect location in a charming house . Michaelis met us and bought us to the property, he was very warm and welcoming. He made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The house oozes charm. The owner’s attention to detail is meticulous and very tasteful.

Summary: I could not recommend this studio more. Sad to leave but hope to return.

Positive: We loved everything and part of our soul remained on Hydra. We felt like we were in a fairy tale, so much peace and beauty... Where do I begin? The apartment is located 45 minutes walk from the port of Hydra or you can take a boat from the port of Hydra opposite the clock tower that takes tourists to Plakes Vlichos beach (Four seasons boat - 10 euro round trip, if you keep the ticket you can return the same day in town). The apartment is very nice, equipped with everything you need, with a view that takes your breath away (from here we saw some extraordinary sunsets), a walking distance to a nice taverna and 2 pebbly beaches with sunbeds and bar. The owners are special people, as you rarely meet, very discreet and always ready to help. We highly recommend this accommodation and hope to return. Many thanks to the host for the little attentions.

Positive: Lovely, spacious and airy room. Huge terrace with a breathtaking view. Tastefully and well furnished. Welcome pack of snacks, bottled water and wine. Michael and Christina are excellent hosts and good communicators.

Negative: The location, whilst scenic and peaceful, is very difficult and expensive to access. Vlichos has very few facilities. There are no shops and only two restaurants, with limited and almost identical menus. Whilst it’s only a 5 minute trip, getting to Hydra port by sea taxi and beach boat costs a minimum of €40 return. It’s an hour’s walk with some steep climbs. The back stairs leading up to the flat do not appear safe. They are thin, metal steps intended for fire escapes or temporary use. They could be subject to rust, and with regular, daily use may eventually fail.

Summary: Beautiful, peaceful, but impractical.

Positive: Where do I start... What a beautiful place.. Michelis and his lovely wife Julia made us feel right at home. The studio was clean and very comfortable, and our sheets and towels were clean and changed according to our needs. The view was spectacular, and we enjoyed walking to Hydra Port every day. Christina was absolutely fantastic!. She answered all of my questions pretty much straight away and offered useful advice. Thank you!!!!
