Positive: Location was not easy to locate. But services and accommodation and free breakfast was excellent. Worth for money. I ordered a separate dinner. That was also great for the value

Negative: They should have put a board directing to the place

Positive: We loved staying with Kamal and Rasika and their beautiful family at Vista Villa. The house is nestled in the peaceful village of Panama, away from the hustle and bustle of Arugam Bay but close and enough to grab a Tuk Tuk to soak up some sun on the beach. The location is a true escape - on the evening drives from Arugam Bay we saw wild elephants and crocodiles roaming in the fields and lagoons. The room is spacious and comfortable, the house keeps cool in the hot Sri Lankan climate and the bathroom is also good. We shared the living and dining area with the family, and Rasika was kind enough to teach us how to make some Sri Lankan food using fresh ingredients, some from her garden! Cooking with the family in Rasika’s kitchen will be a memory I will treasure forever - laughing and sharing stories. Rasika made us delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts, afternoon tea, snacks and was so kind. She even gave us a parting gift of a beautiful handwoven basket! Kamal was also a great host. He helped us with travel advice and showed us around his village, including the lagoon and fisherman. The family proudly shared stories of their previous guests - we felt truly cared for and it was sad to leave! If you’re looking for an authentic experience and creating memories with a wonderful family that you will cherish forever - stay at Vista Villa ❤️
