Luxurious finishes and furnishings provide a tranquil atmosphere that you will not want to leave! Enjoy the quite surroundings of the vineyard and ranch in between wine tasting excursions in the Edna Valley. A spacious patio with built in gas fire place and BBQ provides ample opportunity to relax as you enjoy the unsurpassed view. This home offers modern decor with a nod towards California style.
All beds are European King size with supreme bedding. All bedrooms have 40" LCD flat screen TV's with DirecTV. Bathrooms feature beautiful respite space with all of the amenities. Fully equipped kitchen with large great room including dining area.

Activities In The Area:
The Ranch House is minutes away from fabulous restaurants, the Pacific Ocean, mineral hot springs, biking and hiking trails. There are also endless opportunities for golfing no matter your skill level. The ranch is located in the heart of San Luis Obispo wine country and is literally steps away from wineries here in the Edna Valley, in addition to being within 30 miles of over 200 total wineries in the county.
Downtown San Luis Obispo is 6 miles away and features boutiques, restaurants, movie theaters, and the beautiful mission. Every Thursday evening you can stroll through Farmers Market filled with great food, live music and entertainment for the whole family. Downtown SLO also has many bars with live music Thursday - Saturday.
If you’d like to spend your day on the water, head to nearby Avila Beach, Pismo Beach and Morro Bay. Here you can enjoy a variety of activities including kayaking, windsurfing, boogie boarding and surfing. There’s also whale watching and deep sea fishing available. Oceano Dunes is the only place in the state where you can drive vehicles on the beach. You can also explore beautiful Montana de Oro State Park in Los Osos. Lopez Lake is just minutes away where you can spend time boating, skiing and fishing. San Luis Obispo enjoys a Mediterranean climate all year with an average of 315 days of sunshine and average temperatures in the high 70s and low 80s in summer and high 60s in winter.
Head north on the Pacific Coast Highway and you’ll see the quaint towns of Cayucos and Cambria, then elephant seals and Hearst Castle in San Simeon. South on 101 will take you to old town Arroyo Grande, the Danish Village of Solvang, and then on to Santa Barbara.

Summary: The Vineyard Cottage was a perfect retreat for our holiday getaway. The house is beautifully appointed, very private, with views across the vineyards and California hills that soothe the soul. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our holiday feast, but you will have to bring seasonings, oils, and other condiments as needed. We knew this in advance so we were prepared. The property offers much to enjoy and I’d highly recommend it for your future trip to the central coast.

Summary: The Green Ranch is beautiful...we did multiple walks with our dogs and family. the view from the vineyard cottage is breathtaking. the house is clean modern and the furniture is high quality. I love this place.

Summary: This property is even better than described! The setting is sublime and everything is cared for immaculately. While our group didn’t use it- the common area pool and bbq is inviting and looks like it should be in a magazine!

Summary: My group of friends have been throwing almost yearly group outtings for over 20 years. Our group now includes kids and numbers around 35. We’ve stayed at a few different ranch style properties over the years and Green Gate is hands down the best property I’ve experienced. The whole weekend everyone in the group talked about how great it was and a repeat visit would be great. The location is excellent- one feels so secluded but the market is only 15min away and a 11pm Mexican food delivery is not a problem. 10/10 - would recommend

Summary: This was almost the perfect home and deserves 5 stars. I stay at many Vrbo rentals and this is in the top 3. My only recommendation to the property owner is to provide a bit more necessary items that would have made this stay perfect. The knives were so dull we had to carve a beautiful and expensive piece of tritip steak with a bread knife. It would have been nice to have a few more basic items like salt & pepper, spices and tin foil/saran wrap that is common in all rentals I have experienced. I had to run to the store multiple times to pick things up I would of expected to be included. I realize many choose to go out to eat on vacation, but I love to cook and although the dishes, glassware, etc. were beautiful, basics such as rubber spatulas and a knife sharpener were unavailable. Otherwise, it is the perfect relaxing escape in the Edna Valley region. I will definitely return, we loved it.
