Narrow alleys with the small and beautiful houses of Messenia nestle up to a medieval castle that is picturesquely extending to the sea like a sharp triangle on the southern Cape of Messenia. In southwestern direction of the charming village centre the sandy beaches Zaga and Memi are spreading along the coast.
The location of this residence is approx. 5km southwest of Koroni on a hill with some exclusive villas, in a quiet and cultivated atmosphere and is ideal for a holiday of sophisticated demands. The comfortable villa TÜRKIS with private pool is situated on a huge garden and nature property between oleander bushes, bougainvillea, pine trees and various Mediterranean plants, in a beautiful hillside location above the sea. From the villa Türkis you can enjoy a breath-taking panoramic view along the coast, towards the beaches Mami and Zaga, across the Messenian Bay up to the opposite coast of Mani and the impressive mountain Taygetos.
The furnishing of the villa is not luxurious, but stylish and well thought-out. Comfort, private sphere and spaciousness are the characteristics of this stone house in massive construction. The interior is kept in blue-turquoise with a Mediterranean atmosphere that is emphasising the sea view.
When you enter the holiday house you will immediately be taken in, by the pleasant room partitioning and the colourful design of the living room. A turquoise staircase leads to the open gallery with your private star observatory above the living room. The open kitchen is adjoining to the living/dining room. On both sides of the living room are well-separated sleeping wings with 3, respectively 2 bedrooms and the shared bathrooms. All rooms and the huge terrace have marble flooring and there is lots of space and light, a bright interior and large balcony doors on every side of the house. From all bedrooms and the living room you have direct access to the large circumferential terrace and the pool of the villa TÜRKIS. The terrace is fitted with two large, round marble tables and seating for the different times of day. There is one lounge suite with pergola near the pool and another one underneath a shading tree that can be used as a breakfast area.
A large pool and a lawn area with sunbeds in front of it and the fantastic view across the blue sea complete the picture of this wonderful residence.
The private fresh water pool (8 x 4m, 1,50m deep), year-round operation, non-heatable, invites you to a refreshing swim. Across the trees you can see the welcoming glittering of the sea.
Bathing towels are provided for pool and beach.
There is a large choice of beautiful, fine sandy beaches close-by, each with its own characteristics and attraction. Your “personal beach” is only 450 m away from the holiday apartment and has potential to become your favourite.
The close-by picturesque village Koroni with its port scenery, taverns and cafés make a nice change from the quiet and secluded location of the villa TÜRKIS. Especially charming are also the towns of Pylos and Methoni on the western side of Messenia.

Summary: Fantastic Villa. Very spacious and comfortable for 8 guests with great views and very clean. Pool was great. We had a fantastic week here. Only downside was on arrival trying to find it late at night in the dark. We had to call the owner who eventually came out to meet us and guide us. It would be useful if the Villa was actually named from the road and directions were clearer. We also had a problem with one bathroom flooding and once again had to call the owner and the lack of mirrors is also something that needs to be addressed. But apart from this we had a wonderful holiday in Villa Turkis and would certainly return. The "private" beach was also an added bonus and the town of Koroni was a gem. All in all a great holiday.

Summary: A lovely villa with amazing outside space. The pool was a good size and we enjoyed the ledges. Plenty of sun beds as we were only two and plenty of shade if needed.

Summary: Wir haben eine sehr schöne Zeit im Haus Türkis verbracht. Die Zimmer sind großzügig, die Betten groß und es gibt viel Stauraum in den Schränken. Alle Zimmer haben einen Ausgang nach draußen und sind mit Mositoschutz versehen. Der gesamte Innenraum ist sehr großzügig. Draußen gibt es mehrere Sitzecken, je nach Tageszeit, Wind oder Sonne. Ein besonderes Highlight ist der runde Marmortisch mit der Drehscheibe. Hier haben wir täglich gefrühstückt. Pool, Sonnenliegen und Außendusche - es fehlt an nichts. Der Fußweg zur einsamen Bucht ist gut ausgebaut. Auch verschiedene Tavernen sind gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Ein tolles Domizil für kleine Gruppen oder Familienurlaub.

Summary: Wir waren wieder da - Und hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub, leider nur eine Woche! Die Villa Türkis ist eine unserer Lieblingsadressen auf dem Peloponnes, ein besonderes Haus in einzigartiger Lage mit Blick auf das Meer und die Burg von Koroni. Das Haus, die Küche der Garten waren wie immer sehr gut ausgestattet, es fehlt an nichts und alles ist sauber. Es lässt keine Wünsche offen, auf den tollen Terrassen essen, grillen, am Pool liegen und die Zeit genießen - Wunderbar! Wir kommen jetzt seit einigen Jahren immer weider in die Villa und werden das auch weiterhin! Grüße aus Lübeck, Familie Ehlers

Summary: Wir haben uns in der charmanten Villa Türkis sehr wohl gefühlt und einen wunderschönen Urlaub verbracht. Den Ausblick von der Terrasse haben wir jeden Tag genossen. Die Betreuung durch die deutschsprachige Vermieterin vor Ort hat ebenfalls gut geklappt - sie war immer ansprechbar und hat - soweit möglich - unsere Anliegen bearbeitet. Wir waren zu 2 Familien (4 Erwachsene, 4 Kinder im Alter von 9 bis 13) in der Villa. Für acht Personen waren ausreichend Platz und auch mehrfache Sitzgelegenheiten/Liegestühle für alle vorhanden. Die Villa selbst und auch die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnte eine Erneuerung sowie die ein oder andere kleinere Reparatur/Überholung gut vertragen - es hat aber alles funktioniert. Wir kommen wieder!
