Positive: From the moment we arrived, we experienced the most wonderful service and genuine hospitality from Suhini & her mum, a cold drink & face flannel were provided upon entry to the villa. Communication was seamless; they were always contactable, and nothing was ever too much trouble. I even reached out to Suhini for advice about our itinerary, something completely unrelated to the villa booking; she responded with helpful advice & guidance which was very kind. The property itself is stunning. Luxurious furnishings, elegant touches, and every little detail thoughtfully considered. You can clearly see how much thought and love has gone into creating this space which I understand was formerly her dad's workshop. It feels like a peaceful safe haven, a quiet retreat from the chaos outside. The cleanliness was impeccable, the surroundings beautiful, and we were so grateful for the early check-in, which made our arrival smooth and relaxed. There were also so many complimentary food items provided, milk, bread, snacks and more which was a generous and thoughtful touch. Thought was given to their guests arriving from afar, exhausted & tired. It made us feel immediately at home. Breakfast was absolutely to die for, authentic, delicious, and so generous it could have easily fed four people instead of two! A real highlight of our stay. I honestly can’t add much more than what the other glowing reviews have already said; it truly was a 10/10 experience in every way.

Positive: This was the best stay we had in our 8 day trip to Sri Lanka. Suhini was there to welcome us with some refreshments at check in. She gave us a house tour and we were amazed with the attention to detail in the home decor.The house had all amenities and was well equipped for a family stay. Suhini was kind to stock some immediate food and refreshments supplies which were 'On the House'. The rooms had a cozy vibe and there was a positive energy in the place which gave a relaxing feeling during the stay.There were books to read in the rooms on a range of topics and Suhini was kind enough to allow us to take a book back home with us as we had not finished reading it. When we offered to pay for the book value she simply said pass it forward once you are done reading it. The location is very close to a supermarket so you can quickly jump into incase you need anything. Online delivery platforms promptly deliver to the location as well so that's another plus. The restaurant recommendations given by Suhini were top notch and the food was amazing. All in all we had an amazing closing experience to our trip in Sri Lanka thanks to Suhini and Villa Vikasa.

Positive: the host is extremely nice and welcoming, and makes sure you have everything you need. There's a booklet with plently of useful info on the house and nearby facilities, and the host is always available to supply more info, advise or answer questions. There's a washing machine in the house which was super useful for us. Also, as a family with young children we really appreciated having some space both inside and outside the house, and a fully functional kitchen with complementary coffee, tea, bread, and cookies available: we had an issue with ordering some food from outside one night, and it was really handy to have something to give to the kids in the meantime... Also, the house is really beautiful and tastefully decorated, as you can see from the pictures!

Negative: It was not a problem for us, but the house is not in the city centre, so you have to factor in some 20 minutes to get to main "attractions" in Colombo
