Positive: the host is extremely nice and welcoming, and makes sure you have everything you need. There's a booklet with plently of useful info on the house and nearby facilities, and the host is always available to supply more info, advise or answer questions. There's a washing machine in the house which was super useful for us. Also, as a family with young children we really appreciated having some space both inside and outside the house, and a fully functional kitchen with complementary coffee, tea, bread, and cookies available: we had an issue with ordering some food from outside one night, and it was really handy to have something to give to the kids in the meantime... Also, the house is really beautiful and tastefully decorated, as you can see from the pictures!

Negative: It was not a problem for us, but the house is not in the city centre, so you have to factor in some 20 minutes to get to main "attractions" in Colombo
