Positive: What wonderful hosts Eveline and Emiel are at Villa Verte, from the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome, it really did feel like it was home from home. Our bedroom was spacious, tastefully decorated and spotless. There is the option to join Evelyn and Emiel for dinner in the evenings, Eveline cooks deliciously fresh and tasty food or they will make you a cheese and meat platter if you prefer to eat in your room after a day exploring the region. Each day Eveline put little treats in our room, these included homemade lemon mousse, biscuits, meringue and chocolates. At the start of our holiday I was struggling with a cold and Eveline put a fluffy hot water bottle in our bedroom and offered me hot chocolate at bedtime. The grounds are a peaceful haven and include a hot tub and pool for the warm summer days. The b&b is 40 minutes from Limoges airport by car and is nestled in beautiful countryside making it a perfect base to explore the department of Haute Vienne in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region of central west France.
Negative: Absolutely nothing, it was perfect.
Summary: Highly recommended, a little piece of heaven in Saint Mathieu, a gorgeous place to relax and unwind.
