Positive: Beautiful space, serene and private. Large window front provided amazing sea view. Great check-in experience. Received plenty up to date tips that proved to be very valuable.

Negative: Internet connection was constantly getting interrupted. Couldn’t even have a call. Understand that the issue is with the internet providers given the area is so remote. Would suggest starlink

Positive: Excellent place for a family of 4 Close to Avlemona 6 minute drive It’s hard to find at first, don’t miss the dirt road. Once you find the villa you will love the manicured gardens and view.

Negative: It was far from the main town chora and Kapsali however the roads are better in this side of the island.

Positive: The place is very very nice, the room arrangement for a couple's stay is excellent. Very clean, superb veranda with a view. Fully equipped kitchen, private parking, super quiet, very professional host, friendly cats.

Negative: Maybe not a good fit for a family. Surely not a good fit if you don't have a car. Surely not a good fit for people with disabilities.

Positive: A fantastic apartment with a lot of space. The apartment is clean and has everything you need. The furniture is very comfortable. The apartment is on a kind of estate with beautiful gardens. The view from the terrace was amazing. One of the best apartments I have ever stayed at. Only superlatives for Villa Venus! As for the surroundings, it's quite near Avlemonas, a beautifully designed village.

Negative: Everything was perfect.

Positive: Villa Venus is a ground floor apartment adjacent to a lovely established garden and olive orchard with great views down to the beach. The apartment which isn't huge was just perfect to two people, offering a comfortable indoor seating area with modern kitchen and well appointed bathroom. The bedroom was large, with large louvered windows opening to a covered deck where we spent most of our time. Andreas our host was very accomodating, he joined us on our first night and left us well versed with things to do, see and eat in Kythira. Villa Venus is a 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive down to Paleopoli beach which is a long white fine pebble beach. 5 minutes along the coast is Avlemonas Village with great food and drink options and many small swimming platforms allowing access to the harbours clear water. Kythira was the highlight of our Greece trip. The many villages, the great walking trails, the size of the island, nothing was more than 20 minutes away from Villa Venus remain in our memory. Not forgetting Kaladi Beach our vote for best beach in Greece. Cheers Andreas all the best and thank you for letting us stay, we hope Kythira remains a hidden gem.

Positive: The setting was beautiful with a view of the sea from the patio. The room was very comfortable, with a small kitchenette which catered for most needs. The fridge had a small freezer section too. There is on-site parking. The host, Andreas, was very helpful. He had prepared a map with notes and recommended places to visit, and was also very communicative while not being intrusive. Located near to a number of beaches and the town of Avlemonas which was wonderful. Most beaches have umbrellas and loungers to hire with some free if you use the cafe. It is also close to the ferry wharf so convenient for when we left.

Negative: Not being able to flush toilet paper. This had to be disposed of by placing it in a bin. Not a huge problem but took some getting used to.
